2/29/2024 0 Comments Paparazzi remix snsdThe costumes they had for the Singing in the Rain stage were great! It's a simple color combination but its with the choreography, especially with the variety of group formations, the costuming looks really fresh and new (as opposed to Sistar's Alone stage, which I rather loved, but the costuming just looked bland after a while).Īlso, my sister while watching the MVs: "Let's just look at legs. Near the end of the MV at 5:32, it cuts to a newspaper (btw, "Weekly Exploitation Press"?) with various headlines like "Girls' Generation Seems A Bit Nervous" and on the left but a little cut off, something about the set and wondering if it's "A Real Town?" But what was most interesting to me was "Their Style Has Become The Bible For Fashion" because my sister and I were talking about how flapper style and lingerie are what's trendy now - and SNSD has jumped on it so perfectly it's amazing. Very rough translation of the lyrics are looking interesting~~~~! Some early thoughts here Taxi, now the car sounds in Paparazzi? Not to mention their lyricists are still on a -lic word trip ("punkadelic"? Really?) Lastly, what's with the name dropping? They're starting to be worse than JYP - I mean, at least with him, it's only at the beginning of the song xP I swear that chkchk sound is more like a gun (which would link to Tiffany's "ratata" XD), which is one reason that I'm hoping there's some hint of meta in the lyrics~ Also, they've got some kind of obsession with cars - Genie, Mr. I rather love the music and how everything moves, rising into the chorus, and even that nice bit of dubstep. There's some interesting shifts between minor and major and a sort of second chorus, but there's not much going on melodically. It sounds like it started as a Korean song and they translated it into Japanese. The song sounds very K-pop to me and the girls' pronunciation doesn't help that any (first time I listened/watched I was like, "WTF is Tiffany saying?!" at 4:52 - something like, 「ほら、おいで ラタタ」 which is like, "Hey/c'mon, come here, ratata" but it took me like a dozen times to actually hear it DX). (I wonder if he did Great Escape as well then.) Gonna have to look up Kano now~~ I knew the MJ influences looked like Rino's work! The formation work definitely was something Jae would do too. Rino just Tweeted that she did the chore with Jae and Mikako Kano. Wished they had actually used that wonderful set as more than just a backdrop Group focused choreography (with great formations!) Very eager for lyrics and hoping that there's meta :D I was quite wary after hearing that "Ooh lala" part in the teaser, but I thought it worked really well and didn't sound out of place. The breakdown/dubstep I don't understand visually, but aurally was great. Two for the price of one at the same time! Amazing! XD ( Regular MV, Dance version) I had some low expectations this time around and I'm not sure if that helped, but I actually liked Paparazzi and the MVs.
